What Is BOTOX®️?
BOTOX®️ is an injectable that temporarily relaxes the muscles. When used for cosmetic purposes, BOTOX®️ can target the muscles in the face and alleviate wrinkles. Smiling, laughing, frowning and other expression all contribute to muscles contracting, which develop wrinkles over time and contribute to the facial features looking older and the skin seeming less elastic.
The drug works by blocking specific nerves in the face that are in control of muscle movement, and when BOTOX®️ is injected, the muscles become slightly weakened. The result is less distinct wrinkles as well as the prevention of wrinkles from deepening further. There are many misconceptions about BOTOX®️, including the idea that the drug is toxic or that the muscles in the face are severely affected. What Is Dysport®️?

Common injection sites include forehead lines that are produced when you frown or along the eyes and nose. BOTOX®️ and Dysport®️ can also be used to treat protruding neck bands as well as a gummy smile. However, it is vital that both BOTOX®️ and Dysport®️ be administered by a healthcare professional who can properly inject and manipulate the correct amount of the drug to produce the most aesthetically pleasing results.

At this consultation they will use their trained aesthetic eye to examine the muscles in your face and listen to what you would like to enhance. They will then come up with and present to you a plan that they feel would be best to help you reach your treatment goals.
On treatment day expect the procedure to last no longer than 25 minutes as your trained injector will administer the injection directly into the muscles responsible for the wrinkles and you should start to notice results in a few days. On average Botox or Dysport injections should last 3-4 months, at which time you will need to schedule another treatment. In order to maintain desired results it is recommended to receive injections regularly.
